Local fans of Modern Talking are in meltdown at news that the renowned boy band will return to Hanoi for a special concert.
The duo will perform at “Modern Talking ft Thomas Anders & Band 2018 Liveshow” at the National Convention Center on March 7.
Hanoi previously hosted “Modern Talking – Thomas Anders Live in Concert” in 2016, where Thomas Anders, the lead singer of the legendary pop duo, became fascinated by the enthusiasm of Vietnamese audiences and promised that he would return to the city in the near future. And he has kept his word with this amazing comeback.
Formed in 1984, Modern Talking won fame as Germany’s most successful pop duo with many of their songs reaching the top five in other countries.
Among their biggest hits are “You Can Win If You Want”, “Cheri, Cheri Lady”, and “Atlantis is calling”, songs which gained popularity in Vietnam decades ago.
The duo has sold more than 130 million records in their career, including eight million copies of their debut single “You’re My Heart, You’re My Soul” (1985).
